The Animals — “House Of the Rising Sun”
this is one of the first songs i learned to play on guitar. i love it. it’s a classic blues number, and the animals capture it in a perfect 70’s rock sense. it’s easy and fun to play, and if i’m handed a guitar at a party and commanded to sing something, it’s usually the first song to pop into my head.
